Matthew Heesing is filled with joy to join Diamond Valley Pastoral Charge on their journey of faith. He brings with him a surprising array of experience and education: from a summer in Colombia as a United Church Overseas Mission Personnel, to a Masters of Arts in Theology and Religious Studies from St. Mary’s University in Halifax.
His life story also includes extensive participation in all courts of The United Church of Canada, spanning everything from Pulpit Supply and local Board leadership, to service as a Presbytery Representative and General Council Commissioner.
Along with a love of learning, languages, reading and roller-skating, Matthew’s eclectic passions include preaching, playing the violin, and chording on the piano.
