- the home of open-minded discussion and exploration of spiritual topics, moral issues and life's big questions
A church where children,
adults and seniors find a place to belong.
Welcome to the United Church in Diamond Valley: If you are visiting, we hope you will find our worship a spiritually enriching time. If you're looking for a church home, we hope you will consider us.
A fully-equipped nursery is available at the back of the sanctuary with a sound system.
Just a few snippets of what we do here:
Our church was the first Protestant Church in the Diamond Valley area and has a strong history of serving our community. Today we offer a variety of opportunities for adult spiritual development through the year, intergenerational programs for parents and children, a men's breakfast and coffee gathering for moms. Our outreach includes housing the local inter-church Food Bank as well as the Fall jacket racket program, quilting/knitting for charity, Samaritan Fund and Mission and Service Fund.
Our worship, which starts at 10:30 am every Sunday, is informal, sometimes lively, sometimes reflective. The dress code is what you feel comfortable wearing -- whether that's jeans, a dressy outfit or shorts.
A children's program is offered every Sunday, including the summer months. Children join the adults for the first part of the worship before going to their program. We also have a fully-equipped nursery from which the service can be seen and heard.
Refreshments follow each week's worship service and children's program.
Adult Spiritual growth opportunities are offered throughout the year. Here is a sampling of programs offered. Some are one-time events. Some are offered over 3-4 weeks. Because many people commute to Calgary, we try to offer weekday evening programming over a meal.
Our church is home to the local food bank. The food bank is run by area churches with a strong group of faithful volunteers.
