Robin Galey began preparing for ministry leadership in 2019 after a 20 year communications career (in agriculture, health, and safety sectors). She graduated in 2023 with a Master of Divinity from Vancouver School of Theology. She also holds a Master of Arts in Theological Studies (2021), Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies (2003) and Diploma in Journalism (1997). She is active in leading Wild Church Calgary and Spiritual Nurture at Hillhurst United Church in Calgary. Robin has studied Buddhism (Akshobya Kadampa tradition) and Yoga (South Okanagan Yoga Academy). She is trained in the practice of Active Engagement (Center for Contemplative Dialogue), Permaculture Design (Verge Permaculture), Volunteer Resource Management, and Respect Education workshop delivery (Canadian Red Cross). Robin is also a mother of four adult children, occasional custodian of many pets, unpublished poet, and environmental and social justice advocate.
